  • 17 years of process experience in the manufacture of anodes for the use in aluminum production.

  • Studied OSHA/WISHA safety guidelines for the implementation of interlock devices, machine guarding and pinch-points, as the Ergonomic/Safety representative for the Wenatchee Aluminum Trades Council (WATC) and the Steelworkers union. 

  • Obtained certificate of training for operation of 20 Ton overhead AC and DC process cranes. I did not have a single safety violation in 17 years.

  • Operated; Environmental reactive exhaust scrubbers, Auto fire furnace controls, PLC System controls for vacuum crane, Anode cleaning machines, transfer belts and hot rolls, dense phase material pumps and lines, Have a forklift certification and  operated tractors.

  • Awarded “Meritorious Mast, Letter of Appreciation” for leadership, judgement and initiative during a security event while on post, guarding ammunition.

  • Awarded “Meritorious Mast, Certificate of Commendation” for Mechanical ability in dire situation while deployed to Tunisia Africa.

  • Was granted a promotion and reported directly to the Commanding officer as the Nontraditional assignment (NTA) Motor Pool Representative.

  •  As the Motorpool representative for Weapons Co. 2/8: I assured the maintenance and combat readiness of 12 Fast Attack vehicles, 34 HMMWV’s and 4 Five-ton trucks.

  • Earned the unheard-of rank, E-5 Sergeant within the four-year enlistment.

  • Observed and diagnosed a wide variety of farm related maintenance issues.
